This page is supposed to update itself, but
it doesn't always work correctly. If two entries look the same, look at
the bottom of the screen when you put your mouse over each one (they may
link you to different pages, or one may not work at all!). Sorry for the inconvenience. (Microsoft
stopped updating FrontPage software in 2003, and I haven't had time to "start my
website over" using other software. For now, I'm grateful that my old
Windows XP computer still works--FP2002 doesn't work with Windows 7--and
for FileZilla!)

created a China-based version of the website so that the pages will
load quicker for our students in China. See "use
policy" for more information. While Michael taught at 西北工业大学, we
registered this website with the appropriate authorities (see the home
page).
